Kelahiran

Akhirnya bayi yg ditunggu2kan akan kelahirannya (esp. kembar yg almost everyday tanya bila baby aunty nak keluar) selamat lahir ke dunia pada hari Sabtu, 24/10/09 jam 5.09am di Hospital Ruesselsheim, Germany.

Aku lak masa tu berada di Siegen utk lawatan x rasmi NRW (will post an entry about this later on) tp sempat la gi melawat Liza yg masuk hospital ari jumaat. Rasa bersalah gak nak tinggalkan dia tp since dah janji ngan kwn2 yg lain, terpaksa la jugak pegi. Tapi since ada Kak Liza ngan Cik Dee yg sentiasa dtg membantu, maka xde lah risau sgt.

Hari Isnin baru berkesempatan melawat Liza & baby. Baby comel sgt!!!!! Ngan berat dia 2.9kg, mengingatkan aku pd Nabihah masa lahir dgn berat yg sama. Kecik aje. Nabilah maknanya lg la kecik sbb dia lahir ngan berat 2.35kg.

Comel kan dia?

Oh, nama masih lagi rahsia ye kpd yg ingin bertanya. Sbbnya Mat ngan Liza nak tunggu hari-7 baru announce nama.

Selingan: Aku agak envy ngan facilities yg ada kat Germany utk ibu2 bersalin. Sgt selesa...ye la, kat Malaysia pon boleh je dpt servis yg selesa tp bayaran harus la beribu2 kan? Ini just public hospital tp facilities mcm private hospital kat Malaysia. Baju, diapers, wet tissues, susu dan semua keperluan baby yg lain masa di hospital semua hospital provides for free! Tapi x adil la pulak kan nak compare ngan hospital awam kat Malaysia...Germany negara maju, Malaysia laknegara membangun.

X penah lg jaga org dlm pantang sendiri, dulu ada la jaga kakak tp tu under supervision Mak. Pening woo nak masak apa utk org dlm pantang sbb since Kak Liza mewakili mak2 kami, dia adalah sgt strict dlm pengambilan makanan org2 berpantang. Bawang merah, putih halia bagai semua x leh. Cili biasa la x leh...tp kicap pon x leh rupanya! Lg mencabar dr stail pantang mak aku. Semlm aku masak dinner utk Liza, terpaksa la buat dia plain soup yg cuma ada kentang, seleri ngan fish ball sahaja.

Ni aku kena la godek2 resepi kat Internet nak tgk apa je la yg aku boleh masak utk Liza.

Day Light Time Saving

Waktu sudah bertukar semula...menunjukkan skrg adalah official time winter bermula. Waktu dilambatkan sejam, utk compensate dgn waktu siang yg semakin pendek. Sebelum DLT, kul 6 ptg lebih dah gulap gelita, so bila DLT start, kul 6 ptg is kul 7 mlm, so rasa mcm normal la hari mula gelap diwaktu itu.

So, time difference Germany ngan Malaysia skrg adalah 7 jam, ok!

Autumn in My Heart

Despite the cold and windy weather, I still love autumn for its beautiful scenery of red-yellow leaves....reminds me of Korean famous drama back sometime in 2003...Autumn in My Heart.

What is enough?

I had a chat with a friend who has been living abroad nearly a decade since the time her husband studied there and now he's working there as well. Now they are looking forward to go back to Malaysia for good as they think it has been so long living abroad and the children are reaching the school-going age.

But she's been telling me, she doesn't know whether it's the right time to go home. The husband still searching for job in Malaysia and they are not sure whether he can secure a good job with a handsome pay since the current economy is unstable. And she worries since only her husband is going to work, and she will not (as she thinks she would not be able to get any job because she hasn't been working since she got married), the expenses to raise a family will not be enough. Currently, their life, eventhough only one spouse working, is comfortable enough. And she knows for sure, if the husband secures a job in Malaysia, the pay probably won't be as much as he's earning now.

However, by staying longer, will make things more complicated in future.....more difficult to get a job, (by being too much experienced or specialized, switching job is much harder), children's future education at stake, buying house....

But how much is enough?

I've been asking myself the same question, you know. I don't know how is it going to be for me and my family when we go back in Malaysia later on. I don't know whether is it possible for me to get a job, earning as much as I used to get before I resigned. And we used to live with two person's salary (well, it wasn't so much but we didn't have much problem financially), I wonder how we will survive with one person's income.

And with the current situation at my husband's working organization, things/policies have been and are changing, he doesn't really know whether he'll be promoted or get a raise. It is all in grey area.

So will it be enough?

Well, my two cents points: What is enough is subjective to say....

Like this malay proverb says " makin besar periuk makin tebal lah keraknya". The more you earn, doesn't it not normal to spend more?

Especially when we are surrounded with family or friends who are doing well in life, well...in terms of material, I would say. I don't deny my own feeling of envy when I see friends of ex uni-mate or ex-colleagues bought big house, expensive car or going for a vacation abroad. Somehow, it feels like a competition...as if you must also get the same standard of living because what others are getting.

I reckon it's difficult to get rid these feelings because we are human...and there are devils, who keep persuading us to want more and more.....

Maybe we should think of those people who get less income than us, some even get below the par, the poor and misfortunate in life? Can we compare ourselves with them?

And what if those luxuries gone in a second? Like the earthquake that struck Padang recently?

So, I told my friend (and myself as well)....as for her and the family now, the target is to start a life in the home country..... you can plan for the best, but don't expect too much .....and bear in mind too that you can't forever expect that everyday has sunshine.....there would be rainy or stormy days...most importantly is how prepare are you to go through it.

So what with the 'small' salary? Find ways to make ends la...

Sejuk dan saya malas :P

I had this idea to go out jogging after subuh prayer because my weight now is at tahap membimbangkan...gotta do something about it sebelum semua baju2 x dimuat dipakai....but it's raining outside....thought of running that exercise CD but then the twins also woke up early and insisted to watch their fav channel KIKA (alasan!)

There's an open house invitation today in Friedberg but we have decided not to go because cik HB needs to study for his next paper next week....good for me as well because it saves me from eating a lot. The host is well known for her large-served-delicious foods and superb desserts so it's hard to limit the amount of foods intake.

Kitchen is in the mess as yesterday I was in the rush going to kak liza's place to learn making wantan (tapi apa ke halnya dapur sendiri berkecah?) and leaving the dirty dishes from lunch cooking unwashed. Then coming home quite late, served dinner and then I was very sleepy, hence the dirty dishes kept amounting. But the idea of washing dishes under the cold weather now with the sink tap has damaged and I can't use the hot water -is very depressing! It could only be repaired after cik HB is done with all his exams and that means it will be in 2 weeks time...:(

I have this feeling to sit on the bed and wrap myself with the comforter . And continue reading the Mary-Clark-Higgins book or watching the recent 2009 movies cik HB has recently downloaded.

But I have to brave myself...I can't leave the dirty dishes there....and I need to cook....and there are tonnes of housechores to do. The image of dirty houses in 'How Clean is Your House?' cringes me!

It's this gloomy, cold weather....it really affects my mood.

Cerita Raya Lagi...

.

I made friends with several people at the event....thanks to FB, making friends is a lot easier now...by the the following day, I met these people again online....

Then yesterday, on Kak Liza's initiative, we had makan-makan at my house. Dia ngidam nak makan grill seafood tp nak makan ramai2. So ajak la few people yg dekat2. Nak buat open house, x larat poket dan tenaga...hehehe. Kebanyakan benda kak Liza yg buat - Laksa Penang, salad, marinate kepak ayam dan seafood, agar2.

Aku?

Sediakan rumah saja la...hehehe. Adalah buat sikit2 cam rebus laksa, masak nasi, goreng karipap, buat air sirap....bukan aku x nak buat, tapi aku di LARANG buat.....hahahaha. Ye la, member ngan superwoman...bagus kan? Ati pon dtg, siap bawa ayam masak bali, seri muka ngan rojak buah. Ayam masak bali tu dah lama aku dgr, dah byk kali ingat nak try masak...tup2 rezeki aku, ada org tolong masakkan...tima kasih Ati!

Kebetulan pulak, kawan indonesia dari Siegen - Siska, Safril dan anak comel diorg, Rara dtg beraya...wah, rasa sgt seronok. Rara ni aku jumpa last sekali masa umur dia 2 bulan kot, tau2 skrg dah setahun! Cepat sungguh masa berlalu...

Tu je gambar yg sempat di snap. Gambar makanan suma ilek....aku x terfikir lak nak amik gambar2 makanan.

Aku kena jaga makan properly balik ni...since raya aku asik makan aje....adoyai!!!!
