One Fine Sunday

On last Sunday, there was a flohmarkt held in the area I'm living. Flohmarkt in Germany is quite similar to our Malaysia's pasar malam or the car boot sale in UK (as I understand... never been to one though). But it is not a weekly event like the one in Malaysia. In the winter, flohmarkts hardly exist but now as the weather is getting warm and sunny, more flohmarkt being held every week and everywhere. People would be informed about the flohmarkt events in the local newspaper or on the advertising boards.

Flohmarkt yg penuh ngan org Turki aje.....

So what is interesting about flohmarkt?

Well, you can find almost everything sold here. From electrical gadgets, house deco, cutlery, plates, clothes, books, toys....you name it. Things are available as brand new items or used articles and one can always bargain for good price. And though flohmarkt is not a highly sophisticated shopping place, some of the items sold are quite branded and in good quality. A friend had bought a collection of antics dining plates at flohmarkt at the price of less than 100 Euro in which she believes that the values, if bought at the store, would cost her thousands of Euro. She said some people sell some items just to get them rid without actually bother to make money out of it. Which is sometimes true...

Our friend, Mat managed to buy 2 car models which he had been wishing to buy at more than half of the original price. The former owner said he has too many in his collection, that was why he was selling some off. Liza found some brand new kitchen utensils of WFM brand (a famous make in Germany which normally very expensive) at very cheap price.

I didn't buy much. Just a blouse and English books which I bought at 4 Euro for two. I was happy finding the English books because English materials are seldom available at flohmarkt. I would have bought more if there were more, but there were only two. And the books are in very good condition.
I do love reading John Grisham's but I never knew Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Nevermind the author, as long as it is English, it suits me well!

Then on our way back to my house, we dropped by at the rapsol farm (which is just about 5 minutes walking distant from my house!) for picnic. I had packed our lunch before went off to flohmarkt because I wanted to have picnic at the rapsol farm. It was so beautiful!!!

Seluas mata memandang....

Mulanya nak mk kat atas meja ni, but being Malaysian yg mmg selalu exposed under the hot sun, so x payah la nak sun-bathing kan....

Maka duduk la kami di bwh pokok yg redup

Tujhe delkha to ijana sanam.......

Exploring Darmstadt

When our friend, Hatta and family came for the second time to Frankfurt, it was a rainy day. The next day it was still raining when we sent Najdah's mother to the airport and then we took them to explore Darmstadt under the rain as we had promised Hatta in his first trip here that he would see Darmstadt. To get to Darmstadt we had to board two trains and the journey took about 1 hour.

I've been to Darmstadt several times but I didn't really bother to check out the historical monument and the TU Darmstadt itself, where cik HB studies. I love Darmstadt for the shopping variaties ...hehehe (and had the opportunity to grab the Esprit bag I had been eyeing before!). Only when we accompanied Hatta this time, did I bother to take some photographs of the monuments.

So check out the photos:

walaupun ujan, makcik 2 org ni semangat berposing....

TU Darmstadt: ohoo...setelah berbulan2, baru amik gambar kat sini....

Shopaholic is dreaming.....

Oh, actually it has nothing to do with the Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series ok!

I was browsing photos in cik HB's handphone when I saw these two photos; Nabihah was sleeping in the car-shopping cart while we were doing some groceries shopping. It was taken about 1 month ago. I think it's cute!

Maintain je kepala x terlentuk...hehehe

Tgk dr tepi mcm tgh drive....

Baru je sebelum tu bersembang2 ngan kwn kat sini yg bgtau skrg dah susah nak pos brg makanan dr Malaysia ke Germany. Silap2 kena rampas ngan authority sini.

Byk2 terima kasih kpd abg & kakak ipar, Abe Rosid & Kak Wanie for pegi shopping utk brg2 itu and then membungkus dan pos ke sini. Puas la aku dok belek2 barang2 yg ada dlm kotak besar tu. Paling best dapat keropok ikan ngan nise (gula melaka). Lama dah x mkn keropok ikan.

Pre Birthday Present

Liza and Razif came to our house on Wednesday and surprisingly brought presents for the twins. They said since they going back to Malaysia in May for 1 month vacation and the twins' birthday falls in May, they wanted to give the birthday presents earlier. And the birthday present is a pink-purple coloured scooter for each of them. What a lovely surprise!

Tgk la Nabilah & Nabihah yg senyum lebar bila dapat hadiah

Uncle siap tolong pasangkan lagi....

Terus practise kat balkon......

We really didn't know what to say...Liza and Razif are very kind to us and very sweet to the twins. It's like they both have become the aunt and uncle to the twins here although we are not blood related.

Liza dan Razif, terima kasih byk2 bg scooter tu...patutnya Razif yg diraikan sbb birthday dia tp x pasal2 Kakak n Adik pulak yg dapat hadiah harijadi.....

Busy

I've been busy for the past few days with so many things. Some friends from Siegen came to my house on the weekend. We had great time hanging around (read in my friend's blog, Liza). Then the next day, my friend during A-Level/Uniten days, Durra, her husband Bad, along with their friends, a married couple from Malaysia came. They were on their Europe trip, so they dropped by at my house for one night. I'm glad to meet all these people, cause when you live abroad, with no relatives, having friends coming to the house is a pleasant thing.

So of course, when I'm expecting guests, I have to make sure the house is clean and I have enough food, so buying groceries and cooking are the main agendas. That was why I haven't been blogging. And I need to put the homeschooling activities back into track cause since last week I haven't done anything with regards to homeschool stuffs. The twins have been doing their own activities which is making mess in the house by the end of the day and drive me crazy. I know if I sit down and do things with them, things are just fine. So fine tune I must!

Then, I'm practising my baking skills. Oh, there's not much skill to talk about anyway but I need to, because I'm planning to self-bake and deco the twins' 4th birthday cake next month.

And now, my friend, Dal has invited me to co-write the new blog which she created for our circulation of friends who attempt to lose weight. I already have 2 blogs which I try so hard to keep updating and now with another blog to go, I definitely have to be just determined, ok! I appreciate what she did, cause losing weight is one of the important agenda I must do this year. And that reminds me that I have skipped my daily exercise for 4 days now! Whoa...that must go back into track too! By the way it is a private blog, and open for ladies only. So if any female readers interested to read our losing weight blog, do e-mail me and we try to arrange for your access, ok!

Well, who could imagine being housewife can be so busy, eh?

Notebook

Dek kerana kami suami isteri selalu berebut cik laptop yg satu ini, maka cik HB pon dgn bernasnya bercadang nak beli satu Notebook utk aku. Yeay!!!

So skrg cik HB dok sibuk survey sana sini, kat online: e-bay, amazon, kat kedai lg....ada mcm2 jenis di pasaran, cute miut pulak tu. Cik HB tanya aku sanggup tak nak guna Linux sbb Notebook with Linux murah sikit dari Windows. Well, aku mmg x penah guna Linux, x penah tau pon features dia cemana but I can give a try. Lagipon bukannya aku nak guna software2 sgt, janji boleh surf, YM segala, I'm happy enough.

So, sapa tau pasal Linux boleh komen x? Kalu features dia susah sgt and problematic, I would insist Windows jek....
