One Fine Sunday

On last Sunday, there was a flohmarkt held in the area I'm living. Flohmarkt in Germany is quite similar to our Malaysia's pasar malam or the car boot sale in UK (as I understand... never been to one though). But it is not a weekly event like the one in Malaysia. In the winter, flohmarkts hardly exist but now as the weather is getting warm and sunny, more flohmarkt being held every week and everywhere. People would be informed about the flohmarkt events in the local newspaper or on the advertising boards.

Flohmarkt yg penuh ngan org Turki aje.....

So what is interesting about flohmarkt?

Well, you can find almost everything sold here. From electrical gadgets, house deco, cutlery, plates, clothes, books, toys....you name it. Things are available as brand new items or used articles and one can always bargain for good price. And though flohmarkt is not a highly sophisticated shopping place, some of the items sold are quite branded and in good quality. A friend had bought a collection of antics dining plates at flohmarkt at the price of less than 100 Euro in which she believes that the values, if bought at the store, would cost her thousands of Euro. She said some people sell some items just to get them rid without actually bother to make money out of it. Which is sometimes true...

Our friend, Mat managed to buy 2 car models which he had been wishing to buy at more than half of the original price. The former owner said he has too many in his collection, that was why he was selling some off. Liza found some brand new kitchen utensils of WFM brand (a famous make in Germany which normally very expensive) at very cheap price.

I didn't buy much. Just a blouse and English books which I bought at 4 Euro for two. I was happy finding the English books because English materials are seldom available at flohmarkt. I would have bought more if there were more, but there were only two. And the books are in very good condition.
I do love reading John Grisham's but I never knew Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Nevermind the author, as long as it is English, it suits me well!

Then on our way back to my house, we dropped by at the rapsol farm (which is just about 5 minutes walking distant from my house!) for picnic. I had packed our lunch before went off to flohmarkt because I wanted to have picnic at the rapsol farm. It was so beautiful!!!

Seluas mata memandang....

Mulanya nak mk kat atas meja ni, but being Malaysian yg mmg selalu exposed under the hot sun, so x payah la nak sun-bathing kan....

Maka duduk la kami di bwh pokok yg redup

Tujhe delkha to ijana sanam.......

Spring is definitely lovely!
