Silent Asthma Attack

Hari Isnin malam, we went out for dinner sbb nak shopping sikit kat Tesco lepas tu. Kami mkn kat Nasi Ayam Gemas and Nabilah kalau makan kat situ sure nak makan chicken chop. Tapi as usual dia makan x abis, so ummi jugak la kena abiskan...huhuhu.

Lepas makan kami gi Tesco tapi Nabilah komplen dia sesak nafas. We thought she was having her usual crankiness so we ignored her at first. But then she kept complaining so kami batalkan je la shopping dan balik sbb tak boleh nak membeli pon kalau anak asik komplen x sihat. We thought she was sleepy that was why she was acting that way. But then I insisted to cik HB singgah the nearest clinic to check her out. Mana la tau if it something serious kan?

Kami pegi klinik panel Dr. Rosnani kat Batu Berendam. Nasib buka lagi walaupun masa tu dah dekat pukul 10 mlm. I waited in the car sbb Insyirah menyusu. Then cik HB called kata doc bagi neb kat Nabilah. Few minutes later cik HB called lagi kata doc nak refer Nabilah to hospital cause she suspected Nabilah is having silent asthma attack! 

Takut mokcik! 

I pon masuk dalam klinik dan tengok Nabilah was on nebulizer.

Kat klinik lepas neb.

Doc called ambulance dtg sbb dia kata bahaya kami bawa Nabilah sendiri by car sbb level oksigen dia kena monitor, takut dropped ke paras bahaya. So kami kena la tunggu ambulan dtg and only mother is allowed to ride in the ambulance. Cik HB, Nabihah dan Insyirah followed us by car.

First time I naik ambulance. Ada la jugak feeling2 ER masa tu. The medical staff monitored Nabilah's pulse rate and oxygen level. She said her oxygen level seemed to be ok. So takde la I risau sgt. Tapi risau naik ambulance yg punya la laju. Kalau x hold on to something rasa cam nak tertonggeng je bila dia amik corner!

Sampai ER Hospital Pantai, they kept monitoring her pulse rate and oxygen level and put her on oxygen for a while to stabilize her breathing. ER doc checked her but from her observation she seemed to be ok. But she advised her to be warded overnight for observation.

I googled (nasib la boleh google sokmo), silent asthma is defined as:

Silent asthma is a type of asthma that occurs suddenly and is usually severe. The wheezing that usually precipitates and asthma attack is usually absent or very mild. Silent asthma involves rapid constriction and inflammation of the airways which makes breathing difficult.

Malam tu cik HB yang jaga Nabilah kat hospital sbb saya nak kena jaga Insyirah. Next day, cik HB kata paed checked, he didn't want to diagnose Nabilah as having silent asthma attack. Nabilah mmg tak penah kena asthma pon sebelum ni. He just advised us to be alert on her condition in future. By ptg paed bagi pelepasan utk discharge. Alhamdulillah.

I suspected dia jadi camtu because the day before dia mandi laut lama sgt. Tapi entah la. Hopefully x jadi lagi mcm ni lepas ni. 

I named May/June as bulan hospital. Cik HB's family ada WhatsApp group and since bulan lepas, ada ramai our family member kena hospitalized. Bermula ngan my biras kena denggi, then sorang adik ipar bersalin (ni normal la kan :)), then Insyirah kena warded, then Kak Na my biras pulak warded sbb chicken pox, dan the recent one cik Nabilah la. 

Harap2 no one adding the statistic lepas ni...health is wealth!
